Covenant Specialty Hospital (CSH) is a Medicare-certified, licensed long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) that was developed to treat medically complex patients. Patients admitted to the Specialty Hospital require daily physician visits and 8.5 direct nursing hours (11 for the CCU) per day. Our clinical staff has Chemotherapy certification as well as ACLS training. Covenant Specialty Hospital is a hospital not unlike other acute care facilities. The only difference is Medicare patients at the Specialty Hospital must have an average length of stay of 25 days. Our patients stay about 18-42 days.

For patients who require an extended hospitalization, Covenant Specialty Hospital bridges the continuum from the short term acute care hospital to the patient’s ultimate discharge goal: home, nursing home, SNF, or Rehab.
